Paul Twomey

Paul Twomey serves as a Non-Executive Director at CI-ISAC Australia, bringing over 35 years of distinguished international leadership in cybersecurity, Internet governance, and critical infrastructure protection.

Paul is widely recognised for his tenure as the President and CEO of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a role in which The New York Times described him as “The Internet’s Chief Operating Officer.” His extensive public sector experience includes serving as CEO of the Australian National Office for the Information Economy (NOIE), where he coordinated federal and state digital policies and aligned law enforcement and intelligence agencies on cybercrime strategies.

An expert in regulatory affairs and public-private partnerships, Paul has developed cyber resilience strategies for government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the telecommunications, finance, and critical infrastructure sectors. He is a co-holder of several cybersecurity patents and continues to advise on the intersection of technology, governance, and security.
